Frequently asked questions!

How can i suggest a book?

We would love any and all medical/health science related book suggestions! If you have a novel you think would be a good fit for the prose practitioners, please leave us a message by pressing the “contact me” banner on the head of this site. an alternative method of contact is to reach us by email (theprosepractitioners@gmail.com) with your suggestion!

how are meetings structured?

once we sort you into your own personal book club group, members of the group have the opportunity to exchange contact information should they please. We would recommend creating text chains or using social media platforms to communicate your thoughts on the book and share novel related anecdotes (safely and responsibly, of course)! however, if you would rather be a more quiet member, that is more than okay! upcoming meetings will be posted under the “upcoming events” tab on this website and in the description of each meeting a link to a padlet will be posted. feel free to post your thoughts and view others completely anonymously! just always remember to be kind and respect the opinions of others!

how fast (or slow) do i have to read?

The best thing about an online book club like this is that you have control over your reading schedule. We will always have suggested dates for a timeline to finish the book, but the reality is, it’s up to you! we know life can get hectic, or sometimes a novel is too good to put down. if you’re in an active book club group, try to talk about parts of the book everyone has read (no spoilers please!) if you’re reading on your own and posting anonymously, your schedule is you-dependent and your submissions are always welcome, no matter the time!

Studying medical and health science literature allows us to gain a deeper comprehension of scientific advancements, evaluate the impact of various factors on human well-being, and foster empathy for the challenges individuals face in achieving good health.
